TUE12JUL

Best 50/50 of the month.

I can't quite bring myself to link to Melbourne's Herald-Scum website, as they are poisonous cunts. However! There was a great letter in yesterday's '50-50' column, which is always overflowing with the deep thoughts of morons.

If I may quote*:

'The only reason there are no illegal boat people coming here is because there are no boats left. The tsunami sorted that out.

Captain, Warrnambool**'

HIS IS A LOGIC THAT KNOWS NO EQUAL.

820 days til the next election.

*No, I didn't make one word of this letter up.
**I find it a great pity that the Captain didn't give his real name, as it is always nice to call people up and try to decipher their cock-spankiness over the phone. Wait, is it illegal to do that?

It wasn't so long ago that they posted full addresses of these cretinous respondents underneath their drivel!

Yes, I know I'm like a dog with a bone....but the reason this rascist drivel is so prevalent in the community, and papers see fit to publish it, is because it is the policy of the Government AND the ALP "opposition".

At a time when the ALP's traditional supporters are under attack, the Union movement, what does the ALP do; resort to racism to criticise the government on IR: Beazley's recently said at a Union rally in Melbourne that Howard “stands for bringing in foreign workers". Yep, the ALP leadershp believes that those fucking foreigners are going to come in and take jobs from "proper" Australians.

Also a quick question Ms Fits: if the Herald Sun are "poisonous c*nts", why were you reading their website?

Dear Ms,

The link to Jen in:

"Stop press! New rooter on tonight's radio show . It's the aforementioned Bob Log III! And Gabi Bikes is doing her segment with Gen! Oh fuck. I might cum. 10pm - 12am, Triple R. "

isn't working.

P.S) I meant "Gen" not "Jen".

Aleks, she possibly reads the Hun because she likes to be aware of both sides of the political spectrum.

"the only reason"...

Is that an oblique concession that our policy of mandatory detention isn't stemming the tide of illegals?

We can only hope.

PS. I am wary of criticising the "Captain". He is undoubtedly well-versed in not only boat people, but all matters nautical.

Captain is his first name. I'm sure it's easy to find him in that Warra-warra place. Either that or Captain Beefheart has moved to Mexico.

Of course they are nothing like the deluded lunatic cunts who profligate the Letters page of the Aged are they Ms Fits?

As long as the cuddly bilious rantings in the Aged, exemplified with magnificent grandeur by William R. Stent of Rosanna who wrote in Mondays column...

'No human being should be described as “sub-human filth who must be captured and eliminated”, no matter how repugnant their actions'

...are allowed to be published by the joke that is Fairfax publications, it's only fair that these anomalies are pointed out to you and your lefty brethren.

Aleks - the ALP isn't bitching about immigrants working. Immigrants are by definition not "foreign" - they are permanent residents, and citizens.

"Foreign workers" means people here on a short-term basis, being paid crap, then returned home. It's bad for both worker and Australians.

12Jul16:41

Amanda, I wish you were right.

However if you've ever had anything to do with the political machinations of the NSW right of the ALP you would know that this is likely nothing more than an attempt to capture the redneck vote.

Aleks - "an attempt to capture the redneck vote."

With such respect for the average voter, it's a wonder why the left is having trouble winning... well anything. But it's ok, you're better than those 'rednecks' huh, and that's more important than actually hvaing the responsibility of leading a nation rather than lecturing.

Oh, good.

When in doubt, assume the person making the comment has no idea what she is talking about.

Judging by your use of the name Anarcho-Syndicalist, I think I can safely assume I'm more aware of the inner workings of the ALP than you are...

In answer: Aleks is someone that not even the c#nts at the Sun would publish. I imagine thats why he finds it necessary to vent his spleen in the pages of this otherwise very entertaining blog.
He will tell you that the Sun wouldn't publish him 'cos it'd upset the rednecks... but we know better don't we Amanda ;-)

Sorry for the length of this comment, but I am responding to my critics.

Well again, isn't funny how people believe in freedom of speech, until somebody says something you don't like. I may not agree with what Captian Warrnamool says, but I will defend his right to say it, though I will argue against it. I won;t however go tell him to fuck himself.

Amanda, the name anarcho-syndicalist, is in reference to the movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail"; it is not an accurate reflection of my political beliefs, though I would rather be an anarcho-syndicalist than a member of the ALP.

Why? Well my job does require me to deal with the ALP, so I do know the inner workings of the ALP. Beazley's comments that Howard "stands for bringing in foreign workers" directly relates to the government wanting to increase the number of skilled migrants coming to Australia. Not foreign workers, skilled migrants. It was thus an attempt to appeal to the racist elements out there by saying foreigners are coming into the country to destroy your way of life.

If you do know the inner workings of the ALP, you would be aware of the fact that recently certain members of the NSW right tried to change the refugee policy adopted at the 2002 ALP NSW state conference. Change it for the worse that is. Thankfully this was stopped by people within the Union movement and Labor for Refugees. But you would already know this, wouldn't you? And hey the ALP would never have rednecks in the party would they, not like Graham Campbell? Or introduce mandatory detention would they?

And sick of your bs and sass, thanks for the compliments, I will keep up my good work for you.

Mike, Hitler appealed to the voters of Germany, and had the responsibility of leading the country. Does that make all his actions justifiable and right?

Weet-bix kid, wikipedia sums up Anarcho-syndicalism nicely as a branch of anarchism which focuses on the labor movement. Anarcho-syndicalists view labor unions as a potential force for revolutionary social change, replacing capitalism and the state with a new society democratically self-managed by workers.

The basic principles of anarcho-syndicalism are:

1. Workers’ solidarity
2. Direct action
3. Worker’s self management.

Er, I just came by to say that I wish the views of conservative Australians were more widely published in the daily papers. I haven't found the comics funny for years and I need a good laugh now and then. Take a look at this guy for example.

Thanks for the Libertarian Socialism 101 Aleks.

Thus it is
proven.

You make a deliberately misleading analogy. Hitler was never, I repeat, never voted into power. In the 1932 election, he was decisively rejected by the German people at each runoff.

14Jul14:55

Actually Mike, the Nazis, with the coalition partners the Nationalists did get a majority in the Reichsatg elections. Just like the Liberals with the Nationals got a majority in the elections last year.

They're not all 'skilled migrants". On the waterfront, Howard is supporting cutting Australian jobs, by trying to de-unionise the workforce. His employer mates (like that idiot Corrigan) then reduce their labor costs by bringing in foreign crews who get paid stuff all. (Read up on the ITF website) There's also the Australian call centres that are being shut down and moved to India etc etc... the list goes on....
