With such a landslide in the offing you'd expect the ALP to take the opportunity to burn a few seats to tackle some of the bigger issues. Like telling the loggers in Tassie that "Noone gives a fuck if you drag your knuckles for a living, our forests are multiple orders of magnitude more valuable than your pathetic redneck existences. Anon, Latham would be in agreement. He, however, sent Labor backwards last time. Politics is the art of persuasion; abusing sections of the community for the industry they work in, the houses they live in or how they talk/look doesn't persuade them of anything except to treat everything that comes from your mouth henceforth with a great deal of malice.

Anon, the election is a long way from over yet, and Howard still has 16 seats and millions of our dolars up his sleeves. There's no chance we'll see any non-conservative politics from either party until after the election is over.
