Reasons you will hate me

Records I bought on Saturday night:


1. Bloc Party EP.
The first track on this makes me feel like I am a hairless twelve year old with a crush on a boy who skates.


2. Dallas Crane , Twenty Four Seven.
I used to own about four copies of this record but people on drugs stole them. Also me and Gabi go-go dance in the video for 'Already Gone'. We are wearing red-and-white underwear and we leap up from underneath red balloons. It is gay, but in a mates way.


3. Scissor Sisters.
I am a bit embarrassed about this one, because Scissor Sisters kind of encapsulate all the things I hate about Jet . You can sing other people's songs over the top of their songs and it is annoying. But I am tired of being musically embarrassed and so fuck you.


4. Les Savy Fav .
I am going to go and see them and I think I will need to hold hands with someone when they are playing.


5. D'Angelo, Voodoo.

I wouldn't normally buy this many records in one go. And certainly not so many new ones. But I was in a white-chocolate haze and made breathless conversation with the boy at Polyester until he started looking at me funny and wanting me to leave his store.
