TUE27MAR

My best friend's wedding.

So Sunday was the day my heavily pregnant Gabi was handballed over to her beloved Bob to have and to hold from this day forward, etc. Considering the happy couple will be making birthings in a few weeks time there was a sense of some urgency, and brief concerns that for a topless cabaret retard and psychobilly one-man helmet band a twenty minute registry office ceremony may be a little on the conservative side.

They needn't have worried.

1. The outfit I wore to my best friend's wedding was:

a. An electric blue taffeta ball gown with dropped waist and four-inch shoulder pads

b. A gingham underwear set with knee-high red vinyl boots and a spinning bow tie

c. A roast chicken costume and Marie Antoinette wig

d. A bridal gown. Because I can't bear not being the centre of attention for long.

2. Bride and groom walked down the aisle as two beautiful girls in velvet dresses...

a. Played matching ukuleles

b. Scattered marbles

c. Performed interpretive dance

d. Yodelled.

3. During the vows, Bob referred to Gabi as:

a. She who must be obeyed

b. A beautiful jerk

c. Barry

d. The Duke of Knockers.

4. At the reception, Gab and I had a perfect 'oh! This is our song, let's dance' moment to:

a. 50 Cent's 'P.I.M.P'

b. Cher's 'Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves'

c. Patrick Swayze's 'She's Like The Wind'

d. Skyhooks 'All My Friends Are Getting Married'

Yeah, that was some party alright.

Welcome to the family, Bobek.

228 days til the next election.

Is this a guessing game, or are you saying that all of a,b,c and d really happened ?

I'm assuming it's the former, so here are my guesses:

1a although if it was b I would like to see the photos
2a playing Boob Scotch, although since it may be cheesy to have someone playing your own songs at your wedding I would like to substitute Smells Like Teen Spirit because a ukulele version of this tickles my fancy
3d
4b - always been a favorite of mine , hope you are the same

hmmmm .. i reckon t'was ..

1. b
2. a
3. d
4. although i want it to be c, i feel safer going with b.

and i really hope that at some point in the history of the world, someone actually has attended a wedding as a roast chicken with marie antoinette hair.

For a truly memorable wedding experience, it has to be:

1 - B
2 - D
3 - D
4 - A

But I suspect it was:

1 - A
2 - A
3 – C
4 – B

As Big Matt Stud said… Are there photos?

1. b, natch.
2. a (and d?)
3. d
4. b

But, what did Gabi wear?

27Mar19:15

Congratulations Gabi and Bob.

1. b

2. a

3. d (While not quite up there with some of the titles proffered as part of last week's BOTB segment in which you take a legit movie and think-up a pornofied version of it, The Duke of Knockers happens to be the name of a real adult movie - to quote IMDb "A basic plot line, the Duke Of Knockers needs a wife and advertises in the US for a busty wife. En mass a group of busty girls arrive in England to show the Duke that they will be the best equipped to become the Duchess. But the Duke's busty maid will foil all attempts until the Duke realises the best has been there all along. Weak story line but hey there is only one reason why you would be watching this film." Cinderella for the DVD age. I can lend you a copy if you like).

4. b

I vote for:

1. c - and I demand photos!
2. possibly d, but a would also be equally inspired.
3. d
4. d

Regardless of whether I'm right or wrong, I'm glad it was a wonderful day. Yay for weddings and love and suchlike. Awww, bless.

It's a girl, so it won't be bob log IV. I do know one of the answers, but won't ruin holly's game - unless she doesnt post pictures in the next week.

Sounds like your Big, Fat, Burlesque Wedding!

Alas, I'm shitastic at algebra, so can't partake in this... however, thank you for the fab costume catalogue. I just want someone - anyone - to get married so I can go with the chook n' wig combo. Perhaps I could just hang out on Parliament steps on Saturdays in that for kicks.
