Puss in boots.
'Listen up Howard, and listen good. We want answers. Don't we, gang?'
'YEAH!'
'We're sick of being fed your bullshit. We want to know the real deal behind these fucking IR Reforms. We want to know how many of our rights are being taken away by the fucking anti-terrorism laws. Am I right?'
'YEAH!'
'Of course, of course. I can explain everything.'
'You'd better, man. 'Cause we're angry. AM I RIGHT, GENERIC GROUP OF PROTESTERS?'
'YEAH!/HANG THEM!/ ETC!'
'You see, the thing is...in the fairer interests of all men and women of Australia...er...and the concept of mateship, er...diggers and Anzacs...'
'CRAP!'
'CRAPS TO THAT WITH NOBS ON!'
'I, er...'
'My present opinion of you is poor at best, man!'
'BRING ON THE OTHER GUY!'
'Er....'
'OTHER GUY! OTHER GUY'
'Look! A muslim!'
'WHERE?'
'Behind you!'
'WHERE? I DON'T SEE ANY'
'Look harder, Dick Whittington!'
'IF YOU SAY SO...'
'COLLECTIVE GASP!'
'They're everywhere! Take cover! I think they're going to explode something non-specific in a fashion that is an affront to freedom and the Australian way of life!'
'WHY WOULD THEY DO SUCH A THING'
'Dude, I'm perplexed! Lucky we're all on the same side! Am I right?'
'DELIVER US FROM EVIL, O GREAT ONE!'
'Amen to that, brothers and sisters.'
Are fucking cunts so easily fucking distracted?
701 days til the next election.

My favourite bit was "Hang Them!/etc."
Ms Fits, you are a true genius.
Everybody else is fucked.
Fuck them. Fucking motherfuckers.
(was i always so hateful?)
sycophantic, much?
or just hyperbole?
I hope there aren't a hundred Muslims behind ME at any point. I couldn't cope with that. Kill 'em all!
That's the Aussie spirit, bevis. Right on.
Werd.
In a 'surprise move' I ammended my own terminology last night.
My ammendment was 'rushed through' my mind to combat an identified specific threat to Australia that will occur at a yet-to-be-determined date.
My terminology-ammendment means I now refer to Howard as THE cunt, rather then merely A cunt
He is the best friend I've ever had.....
Fits, where did you get such an old photo of howard? Look, he still has a comb-over!
I prefer this image of little johnie.
I'm so fucking sick of being cynical about everything..but they really leave you no choice.I fear both the workplace legislation [as a factory grunt]and the anti-dissent legislation [as someone who belives in free speech]
But I think even more frightening is the unchecked arrogance and born to rule attitude of the current regime. Ably assisted by a complacent electorate who seem to have traded their bullshit detctors for fly-bys.
Forget stranger danger. I'm giving my kids a crash course in this.
SEWDITION- YOU WILL ALL HANG FOR SEDITION AND OTHER THINGS THAT YOU DIDN'T SEE IN THE FINE PRINT*
*fine print may not actually be fine print. It may in fact just turn out to be "made up stuff". So there.
I fucking hate this word verification thing.
Cunts too good a word for him and them.
How soon before the gas chambers?
..If there's any fashion designers reading this, now might be a good time to come up with a yellow cresent badge which can be easily attatched to clothing, perhaps with a pin or velcro.
By the way,the government thinks terrorisms a worry...wait until all those easily sacked workers start bringing guns to work and clearing out the offices
"Our chief weapon is surprise... surprise and fear... fear and surprise..."
No one expects the Australian Inquisition!
what about the ruthless effiency, fanatical devotion to the pope and nice red uniforms?
Surely there was a way for you to get this ole chestnut in? Jeez, try harder.
I thought I'd get ragged on for using old material, Mr or Ms Alert.
Most worriesome of all is that those arrested this morning have:
"been involved in military training and were planning a weekend in Ocean Grove (south-west of Melbourne)"
More here: http://www.smh.com.au/
Ocean Grove? What were they thinking?
I think the Ocean Grove thing was so they could go surfing at 13th when it's full tide or too small for Bell's.
Good one - not.
*adopts nasal leftie whine*
Those anti-terrorism laws are so fucking fascist... we are so intolerant of muslims; we allow them every form of self expression except the ability to blow up westerners! And we even make laws to make it more difficult for them to do so. Fuck, cunt... erm, I hate Howard?
*burns flag*
Right on, Demble! Join our Pinko army!
It's also frightening getting blowed up real good.
But, you know, that's me.
I agree with you, Scott I. I would really like to be a positive person, free of suspicion, but when the government tries tactics to distract us with all the subtlety of a little kid doing a magic trick, I can’t help but start wanting to throw punches.
Small sub-topic: I was on a plane yesterday, and there was a kid with a distinguished, gold Mickey Mouse key ring on his bag. I had him quickly arrested as soon as we touched down, and his details passed on to Barry.
I love that a feminist like Fitsy posts a picture of hundreds and hundreds of women forced to wear sacks by a male patriarchal religious establishment.
Spot on, Ms Fits. And I agree with Little Running Bear, everyone else is fucked. FUCKED.
For the record, I seriously doubt there will ever be any kidn of terrorist attack on Australian soil. The rampant phobia of Muslims drifting about right now like so much Sarin gas makes me fucking sick.
I love that a feminist like Fitsy posts a picture of hundreds and hundreds of women forced to wear sacks by a male patriarchal religious establishment.
Rach, that wasn't a cap gun that fella was firing at cops OUTSIDE HIS MOSQUE this morning...your suicidal level of tolerance is, um, heartening.
I love that a feminist like Fitsy posts a picture of hundreds and hundreds of women forced to wear sacks by a male patriarchal religious establishment.
*dons shrill anthropology student hat*
Uh, I call bullshit on that. It's oh so fucking easy to sit on our high horses and claim that if a woman does something different to the rest of our whitewashed society then *of course* she was forced to do it by a horrid, brutal male patriarchy.
*swallows very long rant about the hijab and politics and how Muslim women aren't just passively browbeaten into their faith my God could people be any more Orientalist? But that would be derailing*
Right on Rach: go and read Said, fuckers.
Hmmm...Yes of course. There are no religious police in most seriously Islamic nations who go around beating women if they are too immodestly dressed, i.e., showing hair or ankle. And in Saudi Arabia they didn't lock a girl's school up when it was on fire, lest the students come out immodestly clad (many died as a result). And even in places like Britain and Norway and Germany, honour killings don't take place when girls try to date or marry outside the faith or arranged marriages.
Shall I go on?
I know. It's tragic; people like this blogger just turn a blind eye to the fact that of all the mainstream religions today, Islam is without doubt the most opressive to women.
Wanky anthropology arts student arguments aside, how can you justify what Islam requires of women?
in the koran men and women are directed to dress modestly.
pick up the bible (new and old testaments), and you can find as bad as anything in the koran. and as good. it's all in the intepretation.
why do you veil intolerance of difference and the Other by wailing on about feminism and women's oppression? yep, orientalism. yep, read Said. Edward Said for you people who just didn't get it.
and have a look at the lack of progress of women's rights in this country.
equal pay? not yet.
domestic violence? yep, we got it too.
what else is there?
it's interesting too that the people who get lippy and insulting are usually the ones whose argument is wearing thin... they're usually anonymous too.
My comment is simply, Awesome.
Hello ASIO file. Good thing I posted this anonymously, just in case they might want to deport me.
If you see the doco 'Hijacking Catastrophe: 9/11, Fear & the Selling of American Empire' - you will notice how eerily similar Johnnies tactics are to those adopted post 9/11... the fucking CUNT.... we are doomed
At least in Australia, we can't get stoned to death for daring to show our sinful, sinful faces.
..I think what these new "anti-terror" laws are in danger of doing is creating resentment where there was none.I understand that, yes the powers that be are expected to be seen to do something and more restrictive laws are the easiest way to give that impression...
However, the main advantage Australia has over...say France or Britain is our policy of multi-culturalism.This policy has largely avoided the non-formal ghettoisation of these countries..i.e. If a Turkish family wants to leave Brunswick and move to Glen Waverly it's really no big deal.
These new laws don't say "if this happens"...they say."We fully expect this to happen because your Muslims and we can't trust you.
Suddenly who you are [or are THOUGHT to be is a big deal and that Turkish family in Glen Waverly now feel like outsiders.
just because the exported S.A. interpretation of islam has taken centre stage in the press, it does not nessecarily mean that it is the 'true' representation of the religious doctrine. you would be naive to think that somehow culture has not had hand to play in muslims' beliefs
All this thinking and reading makes my head hurt, I'm off to watch reruns of Hey Dad.

Yeah. I much prefer it when Fitsy posts a picture of hundreds and hundreds of women forced to wear almost nothing by a male patriarchal religious or secular establishment.
daveyO waits salacious...errrr, patiently for MsFits to add said photo to her post. If that doesn't happen in a timely fashion, I'm sure it won't be long before Ralph has a cover shot of hundreds of women wearing head scarves and little else.
all i'm saying anonymouses is it's simple to compare. religion is one thing, culture and local customs are another. and individual behaviour another. and extremist thought another. there's as many reasons for why people do things or believe things, as there are people. not all muslim countries are islamic and run on shariah law, so how do you explain those different societies? it's stupid to condemn islam without considering all the sides.
"At least in Australia, we can't get stoned to death for daring to show our sinful, sinful faces."
And in those countries where we could be they also have really cool, super-strict anti-sedition laws. So they're not all bad.
Excellent, excellent.
Thank you
All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent
Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.
