TUE22AUG

Quiz answers, for those what was interested in playing.

Hear ye hear ye, etc. The answers to yesterday's quiz as follows:

1. b. Although it's not much of a tan since I arrived in the Territory so pale local children danced around me at night like I was some kind of glow-in-the-dark totem pole.

2. b. Leading to saucer-eyed preschoolers waiting outside the shower block breathlessly asking everyone who exited if they had 'done a wee in the frog toilet'.

3. c. Watching a child possibly still in nappies slap itself saucily on the rump whilst gyrating like Shakira to Sir Mix-A-Lot's 'Baby Got Back' is something I won't forget for a long time.

4. I forgot to write 'all of the above' for this one, which is clearly the correct answer. Either that or I just worded the question poorly. WHAT DO YOU FILTHY S/HE-BEASTS TAKE ME FOR, OF COURSE I DIDN'T FLICK THE BEAN WHILST LISTENING TO MY PARENTS MAKE WHOOPEE.

5. a. She also wore pressed cream slacks and was a complete cockholster.

6. e. But mostly because he arrived at Kalkaringi riding a vintage Triumph with an attractive lady in the sidecar. Ted Egan, Gabi Hollows and Mary G were also in attendance. Matthew Followill was sadly nowhere to be seen, though I don't doubt his overtight trousers and hot guitar licks would have been more than welcome in the middle of the relentless desert.

7. e. Note: I will not do all these things in one sitting.

8. a. All very above-board, thank-you. So don't go starting further vicious rumours as I am operating 'on the level' and should obviously be given some kind of sash or key to Coburg.

Sashes are so last century. Take a key instead. Hell, if Dame Edna can be presented with a key to the City of Melbourne by John So (it's happening tomorrow) I think you certainly deserve a key to Coburg.

what! that cunt! he is unable to launch my book as he promised, but a key to the city and he's suddenly all Mr. Available.

Hobag.

ps BTN. Man that was, against all appearances to the contrary, the worst thing about primary school. It was up there with British fucking Bulldogs, aka an excuse to let children try and kill each other.

Does anyone know why the general public is unable to access Richard The Thinker's blog via the computers at the State Library of Victoria?

There was a hideous "Spicks and Specks" knock-off (yes, even more hideous than S&S itself) on channel 7 the other night and at one point the contestants had to guess the identity of a Celebrity In A Crate. It was Pauline Hanson. During the tiresome parlour game bizzo that followed Waltzing Matilda could be heard playing sweetly in the background.

Oh, and David Oldfield is on Celebrity Survivor.

Welcome back.

"She also wore pressed cream slacks..."

i wonder how she keeps her whites white. (i guess it's the t-shirt).

ps - that's meant to be a rascit pun but i couldn't work out if i needed to explain about the red dirt in NT staining everything pink/grey, or if that bit is obvious.
